David Bain
David qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and joined John Hodge in 1999, bringing nearly 20 years experience with him. David is a litigation specialist, dealing with a wide range of disputes, from family matters to contractual disputes and debt related issues.
Jane Banks
Jane is in the busy probate and wills department, having joined John Hodge in 2004. She specialises in contentious probate matters.
Jo Boyle
Jo joined John Hodge in 2006 and has over 23 years conveyancing experience and is a real asset to our busy conveyancing team, specialising in residential conveyancing.
Stewart Castle
Stewart is an accredited specialist of the Solicitors Family Law Resolution which is only awarded by completing an examination and by continual assessment every five years. He is also a member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel and head of the family department at the Weston office.
Rae Clark
A legal assistant in the probate department, Rae works closely with Hugh Mackey on probate and wills.
Colin Dickens
Colin has provided conveyancing services for John Hodge on two occasions, joining us the latest occasion in 2006 but was formerly a partner with us from 1985 to 1997. Colin has a particular interest in agricultural and residential property.
Karen Elliott
Karen is a Partner dealing with many areas of law including Civil and matrimonial litigation and is in charge of the firm's Clevedon Office. Karen is an accredited "Family Lawyer" as a member of the Law Society's Specialist Family Law Panel. She is a member of Resolution.
Richard England
Richard is a solicitor and partner with over 15 years experience of Clinical Negligence claims. He has a national reputation for dealing with high value and complex medical cases. He is a member of the Law Society Medical Negligence Panel and "Highly Regarded" in Chambers Directory of Solicitors.
Stephen Foote
Stephen qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and has always worked in the area of employment law. He also works with small businesses and start ups and undertakes some personal injury claims. Stephen is a member of the Employment Law Association and a partner with John Hodge Solicitors.
Steve Hale
Steve is the practice manager for John Hodge Solicitors. With so much use of modern technology to streamline the legal process these days Steve has a varied yet incredibly busy role.

Marc is a conveyancing executive specialising in Residential Conveyancing.
Jo Kenyon
Jo is a probate solicitor covering all aspects of this complicated area of law including Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Trusts.
Hugh Mackey
A busy member of the probate and trust team, Hugh has been with John Hodge for 36 years. He has vast experience which he uses to the advantage of clients, particularly when it comes to reducing Inheritance Tax liabilities. Hugh is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and a Trusts and Estates Practitioner of STEP (Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners).
David Morris
David joined John Hodge in 2003 and works in our commercial department, dealing with a variety of business related matters for SME's including commercial property transactions, from shops to offices.
Sarah Naismith
Sarah is our other trainee solicitor working in the Bristol office helping in the Clinical Negligence Department. She started with John Hodge in July 2006 and hopes to qualify in July 2008.
Mike O' Connor
Mike is a managing clerk dealing with wills, estate work and income tax matters.
Maggi Pattison
Maggi is a managing clerk with over 20 year's experience, working particularly with elderly clients and specialising in Attorneyships and the Court of Protection.
Kelly Webb
Kelly is another trainee solicitor working in the Western-super-Mare office helping in the Probate Department. She started with John Hodge in September 2007 and hopes to qualify in February 2009.
Sam Perry-Welch
Sam is a legal assistant in our Personal Injury Department specialising in Road Traffic Accident Claims.
Julie Rudd
Julie is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives specialising in conveyancing law. She also works with our case management system which ensures that all transactions complete as smoothly and as quickly as possible.
David Sinclair
David is a national Director of Solicitors for the Elderly and he also runs the Somerset branch and has a particular specialism in working with Elderly and Vulnerable clients. He also specialises in Wills, Probate, Inheritance Tax Planning and Trusts. He regularly visits clients in their home or in hospital. He is a member of the Law Society's Probate Section and a student member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Rachael Southcombe
Rachael is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives assisting the Family Team at our Weston office. She has a particular interest in child law and domestic violence cases. She is a member of Resolution.
Jennie Stevenson
Jennie is the partner in charge of the probate department, working in both the Weston-super-Mare and Wedmore offices. Jennie specialises in tax planning on higher value estates.
Jon Topham
Jon qualified in 1996 and is a specialist personal injury solicitor and a partner with John Hodge Solicitors. He handles personal injury claims from road traffic accidents causing whiplash injuries through to serious injury claims arising from work and car accidents. Jon is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Frances Wright
Frances Wright is a partner and a member of the referral Panel of AVMA (Action for the victims of medical accidents) and is experienced in handling substantial claims.
