Charity Balloon Race
On Tuesday 19th December 2006 John Hodge Solicitors celebrated their 100th year in Weston-super-Mare by releasing 100 balloons for a local charity balloon race. Several balloons were returned from around the country and the winning balloon benefited the Alzheimers Society with a cheque for £500 from John Hodge Solicitors.
John Hodge Partner Stephen Foote said:
"We had a fantastic response from all of the local charities and are delighted that such a worth cause has benefited from our 100 year celebrations. We will be writing to all of the charities that entered and although not lucky on this occasion we will keep their details on file and use them again when we carry out similar activities in the future. All of the senders who returned the cards will be receiving vouchers to thank them for supporting our local charities."
The furthest balloon reached Monkokehampton in North Devon, travelling 96.3 miles from the launch site at John Hodge Solicitors on The Boulevard, Weston-super-Mare.
