Naomi Drew

Solicitor

Tell us about yourself?

I am a Partner. I qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and have specialised in personal injury claims since. I began working at John Hodge Solicitors in 2017.  I am a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

I have extensive experience in all aspects of personal injury work, and however you have been injured, if it is because of someone else’s fault, I will strive to successfully claim the compensation that you are entitled to.

I specialise in accident claims where people have suffered life changing injuries, including brain injuries, pain syndromes, chronic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, amputations, spinal injuries, and PTSD, and in fatal accident claims.

What do you offer clients of JHS?

I enjoy helping clients and providing them with peace of mind; be that by meeting with them face to face, by telephone or email. Communication really is key. Although this may seem simple in this digital age, regular direct communication with a specialist accident solicitor is essential for clients coping with the aftermath of suffering serious injuries and navigating the personal injury claim process.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

From a professional point of view, I enjoy the fight to obtain justice for those injured, with as little additional stress to them as possible. I enjoy getting to know my clients, from a personal point of view I gain satisfaction from helping clients secure rehabilitation to help rebuild their lives as far as possible, and to achieve the compensation due to them and ensuring that their needs are met for their long-term future.

What do you think makes a good lawyer?

To be approachable and to be able explain the process so that clients can understand the steps and timeframes, and to listen. To be tenacious to achieve the right outcome for the client. No two claims or injured person are the same and what the client wants to achieve from their claim can differ depending upon that individual’s priorities.

A message for clients

I live, and was brought up locally, so have a very good working knowledge of the area. I have always worked in the Bristol Somerset area, dealing with case from Wells to Minehead, and Bridgwater to Gloucester. Not only that but I understand what each individual client may want and need, which is more often than not quite simply ‘clarity and an understanding’.

Is there anything else you would like to say?

The market for providing personal injury claim services is competitive with large ‘warehouse’ firms taking up a significant portion of the market. While the corporate image may appear attractive, what they fail to offer - and what we deliver at John Hodge Solicitors - is a service tailored to your personal needs, and the maximum compensation for you, not just a “quick deal”.

You will only need a personal injury Solicitor if your life has been affected in a way that you never expected it would be, or that you are experiencing a change that you did not expect you or your family would have to do through, and it will be one of the most stressful times of your life. I therefore make a concerted effort to be as accessible as possible and answer any queries that you may have as soon as I am able to do so.
