Tell us about yourself

I am a solicitor who has been working in personal injury litigation locally since 1998. In 2017 I joined John Hodge Solicitors having previously worked at large personal injury focused firms based in Bristol.

What is your specialist area of law?

I specialise in personal injury litigation.

In my role as solicitor acting for injured people I have conducted a wide range of personal injury cases and fatal accident claims. I have acted for claimants who have suffered brain injuries, amputations and multiple severe internal injuries and fractures. I have acted for people who have suffered injury as a result of faulty and defective products (including food poisoning), injured on holiday, injuries from trips and slips, in claims against schools and leisure facility occupiers and claims for injuries caused by animals. I have extensive experience in acting for those who have been injured at work and these claims included falls, defective work equipment, lifting injuries, needle stick injuries, electric shocks and crushing injuries.

What do you offer clients of John Hodge Solicitors?

I offer a face to face service either at one of our local offices or at your home. I will provide a realistic assessment of your case and explain the process so that you can understand what is happening and what to expect as the case progresses. I then offer a comprehensive claims service pursuing your claim on a no win no fee basis and offering local support throughout.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I meet people when they are experiencing a dreadful time in their lives. I enjoy helping them obtain the compensation that they are due as quickly and as smoothly as possible. I enjoy making a stressful time easier and securing treatment and interim payments to assist with the practicalities that injured people face after an accident.

What do you think makes a good lawyer?

Someone who listens to you, understands what is important to you, appreciates your main concerns and worries and someone who enables you to trust and understand the claims process.

A message for clients:

Using a local solicitor who you can meet face to face will assist your claim because all of the necessary information can be obtained quickly and a solid professional relationship of trust can develop.

Is there anything else that you would like to say?

Nobody expects or wants to find themselves in a position where they are injured, suffering loss and cannot work through no fault of their own. If you are in that situation you will need a solicitor who can fight your claim for you to secure the best possible outcome while providing a service to you as an individual.
