I joined John Hodge Solicitors in October 2024, moving from the Sports Administration sector where my role included stadia management & regulation, player contract administration, facilities maintenance, booking and administration, alongside website updating plus designing and editing graphics.
I work closely with the senior partners, HR manager and finance manager across all facilities-based matters; from day-to-day upkeep of office infrastructure, liaising with external service providers, scheduling routine inspections, preventive maintenance and ensuring all safety equipment is in place and maintained correctly.
Alongside this working with the same on marketing; covering updating the website content, blogs, and structure, managing the social media, maintaining promotional material and liaising with relevant collaborators on advertising for the firm.

We are proud to provide our clients with offices that are inviting, clean, well-maintained and functional. It is my role to ensure this is the case, and on the occasions when things go awry to ensure matters are resolved promptly, effectively and with the minimum amount of disruption possible.
What do you most enjoy about your role?
My role covers a varied daily workload and visiting our various offices means no 2 days are ever the same and ensures the mind is kept active.
What do you think makes a good Facilities and Marketing Assistant?
Being aware and proactive are two main aspects for both, along with interpersonal skills to work with colleagues of all levels, contractors, consultants and others.
In facilities, being able to diarise and prioritise work, always being aware of surroundings and noticing slight changes, anticipating an issue may arise before it escalates and ensuring resolutions are put in place speedily.
In marketing it is important to ensure the firms ideals and branding are conveyed in the best way possible with clear and consistent information to clients and our network.
