Litigation Executive

Tell us about yourself

I am a Litigation Executive who has been working in personal injury litigation since 1998. In 2020, I joined John Hodge Solicitors having taken a break from law for 5 years. Prior to that break, I worked in 3 large firms based in Bristol and Cardiff.

What is your specialist area of law?

I specialise in personal injury claims.

In my role I have taken a wide range of cases through to a successful conclusion. I have particular expertise in road traffic accidents, employer’s liability claims (those that have been injured whilst in their workplace) and public liability cases (those that have been injured slipping and tripping on the roads, pavements, or on private property). In addition, I have pursued claims on behalf of those suffering injury from beauty treatments, clients who have suffered injury whilst on holiday, or travelling by plane or boat. I have experience in product liability claims (where defective goods have caused injury).

I have represented those suffering injury from dog bites and bringing claims for other injuries under the Animals Act 1971.

What can you offer clients of John Hodge Solicitors?

I enjoy good relationships with clients, and I am sympathetic to their needs. I offer them practical advice in understandable terms.

I am able to offer a face to face service, where the client can attend the office for a consultation. If they are unable to, I can carry out a home visit.

What do you most enjoy about your role?

I enjoy concluding a claim to the satisfaction of the client.

What do you think makes a good lawyer?

I believe the key ingredients are communication, trust and being able to listen to people when they are at their most vulnerable. My aim is to try and explain the various stages of a claim to the client in a clear and legal jargon free manner, to achieve the best possible settlement, as quickly as possible.
